to say that there is no other group of people i would rather spend my last wedding of the season with is an understatement…having photographed the bride’s sister, tara, three years ago for her wedding as well as bridesmaid, michelle’s wedding this past may, it is like spending the day with your family…and, seeing these couples and their families is always such a treat for us…meghan looked amazing in her christos gown and boxwood gardens did a lovely job with the holiday themed florals…after their ceremony at church of the nativity in fair haven, we quickly headed over to riverside gardens in red bank and braved the cold and beat the sinking light to get some great photos of this couple before heading over to eagle oaks country club in farmingdale…it was great working with jen anderson on video and meghan’s band, the dream team out of new york, were incredible! thank you so much to the ullmans, cusicks, langleys, takacs, zusacks and now the kopps for reminding us why we do what we do and how lucky we are to be doing this…

Jeri – beautiful pictures – can’t wait to see the rest!!
christine & chris had a perfect, crisp fall day for their wedding ceremony in sea girt…christine is the cousin of one of my favorite brides, mary jo whose wedding i photographed 10 years ago…it was so great to see her and her husband, vinny, again as well as maureen and sean another couple who i photographed the same year…so happy they were married the day before that horrible storm that came the next day!…it was great working with jen anderson on video and billy & tom, the great djs from wedding set go…

You looked absolutely beautiful
bob and i had a great day with maureen and marc first at the sheraton hotel in eatontown followed by their ceremony at st. rose in belmar…on the way to the channel club, mark wanted to stop in asbury park for some photos unaware as we all were that the annual zombie fest was under way…i’m still not sure why zombie fest wasn’t halloween weekend but in case, my couple were drawing more attention than any of the zombies there and it seemed like there were thousands this year! in any case, we did manage to find some quiet spots on the beach, then off to the channel club where daddy pop entertained everyone…it was great working with emil from mike simons video and seeing andrea and chris decker, whose wedding i photographed several years back…flowerful events provided the florals and even though there was mostly cloud coverage instead of the usual phenomenal sunsets that channel club the night could not have been more perfect…thank you fred for everything as usual…

there has been occasion over the years where i work with a group of families and when i see them it feels more like spending the day with family rather than work…this has been my experience with the langley family since i photographed their daughter michele’s wedding in may…michele and carol’s parents, marybeth and greg, are very special people and it has been a joy and honor getting to know their wonderful family and spending time with their friends many of whom we have been privileged to work with as well for their happy occasions–michele & jeremy takacs, maria & mark brewer whose wedding i photographed in december and maria’s parents, the ronans, the kingsberys, whose daughter katie was just married a couple of weeks ago–i loved working with and seeing each and every one of you! carol and sam had an absolutely perfect day for their wedding ceremony at st. james church in red bank and their poolside reception at the rumson country club…it was great getting to work with emil from mike simons video again, brian kirk and the jirks always keeps everyone on the floor, nicole from mustillos who helped carol get dressed and the beautiful flowers from boxwood gardens…they had a gorgeous night complete with a full moon! here’s a peak…

it was back to the channel club with fred & liz this week and such a treat working with some of my favorite vendors…denise vacchiano once again did an amazing job on hair and jeanine mangan worked her makeup magic…no one does it better…the gorgeous flowers were by my lovely friends bonnie and chris from petal beach and it was mike simons on video for the second week in a row (see you next week as well!)…chris from elite kept everyone on the floor…

it was old home week saturday for the wedding of allison & patrick…not only did i get to work with some of my favorite vendors, jennifer anderson on video, nick cavaliere, entertainer extraordinare and fred at the channel club but i also got to see some of my favorite clients of long ago (way long ago!) ali, michealin & kristen who look as beautiful as the day i photographed their special days…allison and patrick are so easy going and natural in front of the camera, it was effortless to photograph them…after their ceremony at st. james church in red bank, we stopped by the downtown cafe where they had their first date as well as lavish kids where patrick’s apartment was located and then to red for a quick drink to cool off…saturday was a hot one!…no channel club wedding would be complete without an amazing sunset and it was delivered!

Jeri,
Thank you so much for the great pictures! You and Sara were so much fun to work with- talented, professional, etc. I could not be happier with all of the pictures! Once I saw your pictures from ali’s wedding, I knew you were an amazing photographer. You were able to capture our special day so well, and most of the time we barely even knew you were there. You have a very subtle style, and your work is amazing. I will most certainly be recommending you to others! We can’t wait to see the rest!
Thanks again,
Allison and Patrick -
You are both so beautiful! May you be blessed with years of health, happiness and lots of babies!

there was nothing i did not like about this couple and their day…they had the luck of the irish on their side as we managed everytime to get our photos finished just as the sky opened up and poured! they exchanged their vows in the amazingly beautiful st. catherines church in spring lake which is right across the street from the bridge in spring lake park where joe had proposed to kerry…i rode with them in the trolley to spring lake bath and tennis where their reception was being held and they literally did not take their eyes off one another for one second…you really could feel the love! i loved working with jennifer anderson again on video and jason jani emceed…kerry and joe had taken dance lessons and they were flawless from start to finish for their first dance…xxoo

Jeri and Sara,
Talk about luck of the Irish, we were so fortunate to have you with us on our wedding day! In these photos, you’ve told our story in a way no poet every could. We are speechless (which is rare for us)! Thank you for sharing the gift of your time and talent. You are, hands down, the best!
Love and gratitude, Kerry and Joe -
The pictures are awesome…Their wedding was just beautiful and oh so elegant. My friendship with these two wonderful kids began at the Ballroom Etc. Yes, I do have Cherished Memories of my meeting with them. They became engaged on Christmas Eve.. I also became engaged on that wonderful evening many years ago..They had lots of rain showers on their wedding day in June…I also shared the same wonderful happening…And yes two beautiful people so full of love..I know they will also have many years of Happiness just like I did…I hope they make more than my 53 years..
What a pleasure to know this beautiful couple…and to have met so many beautiful people in there family.
Love to you Kerry & Joe…Make many years of Cherished Memories… Elsie
i have been looking forward to working with this family since they gave me the honor of choosing me to capture their day…they are so incredibly gracious and warm and familiar as there were many families there who i have worked with in the past and will be working with again soon! i also cannot believe that i get to work with them again in august when i get to photograph michele’s sister, carol, on her wedding day! i can’t wait! the luck of the irish was with them and the rain held out so we were able to get plenty of outside pictures on the grounds of the brides home, st. james church and riverside gardens in red bank and a fantastic reception at the rumson country club…thank you michele & jeremy and i know you are having an amazing time in hawaii!

melissa & pat had a warm, sunny spring day for their wedding at holy trinity church in long branch and branches…both pat and melissa’s dad belong to the fire department so the day wouldn’t have been complete without a firetruck…the GORGEOUS flowers were by my girls at the amazing petal beach and makeup by yvonne moss made the bride look flawless…so much fun always working with jen anderson from sands of time on video and big joe henry, dj from 101.5 introduced the bridal party…special guest star, singer robert johns,(“the lion sleeps tonight”, “sad eyes”) entertained the packed dancefloor…

…sara and i headed to jersey city for our first wedding of the season…it was FREEZING and unbelievably windy but we had such a great time with this couple and with their great vendors that we barely (just barely) noticed exactly how unbearably frigid it actually was…maureen looked absolutely gorgeous in her lace gown which was really so perfect for her and the flowers designed by tiger lilys of teaneck were lovely next to the striking green bridesmaids gowns…it was great working for the first time with the videographers from gt modern creations out of brooklyn and it was a blast working with my favorite dj, nick from imagine entertainment and his trusty sidekick, russell at the wonderful mayfair farms in west orange…what a great way to kick off the season!

Jeri-our jaws are on the floor. Your photographs are stunning, and so perfectly capture all the love and joy we felt that day. You and Sara were amazing to work with, truly professional and so much fun to be around. Your shots show that not even the wind and the cold could stop us from smiling that day. We are amazed by some of the photos you got when we didn’t even know you were there-you’re like photographer ninjas! Thank you for being such an important part of our day, and for being so ridiculously talented. We can’t wait to see them all!!

Maureen and Rich! You are a DROP DEAD GORGEOUS couple! These pictures are unbelievably beautiful!!
-
Thank you everyone! It was a wonderful way to start the year…

My dad is quite proud that he’s the one who was texting me in that photo. No doubt it was something important, such as “Where are you?”
Awesome shots, Jeri. Can’t say enough. I haven’t talked to a single person who wasn’t absolutely floored by them. Thank you so much.

this was the perfect wedding to end my season with…i had a gorgeous couple, fantastic families and friends, and a mix of future brides as well as two past brides and their families…it was a little bit of my whole year sprinkled with the lovely presence of what comes next…it was FREEZING cold but there was so much warmth between the holiday decorations and the people that you never felt it….thank you to the recently redone and beautiful navesink country club for the delicious meals, jk band for keeping everyone on the floor, videographer, mike simons, who i photographed both of my last jobs this season with…so nice seeing elena & mike, the colaguoris and all of the langleys…take a look!

last weekend began with shana & sean at the wonderful clark’s landing in point pleasant…it was a bit chilly for the outdoor ceremony on the water they had planned so everything was moved inside… but everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful views from the floor to ceiling picture windows in the room and be warm… just as they were pronounced man and wife, the sunset behind them as if on cue…a huge shout out to the wonderful staff at clark’s landing who always takes such awesome care of us when we are there and to videogirl, jen anderson, and nick from imagine entertainment who will also be mentioned again in my next post as we worked together again the very next day…

The pictures look amazing. It will be very difficult to narrow them down to make an album. Your work and professionalism are amazing. Thank you Jeri and Sarah for all you did to capture the day perfectly!
this couple will definitely go down as two of my most memorable people and favorites as well…since the first meeting with them, they both made me laugh SO much…vinny kept putting the whammy on me making “rain” comments before his wedding day as we were due for a storm, but it wasn’t to be…they had a really HOT day but it didn’t rain at all…sara was shooting a friend’s wedding so i had the pleasure of shooting with larry evans, who kept everyone laughing all day…evelyn’s wedding planner was nicole from anna soiree who i haven’t seen in awhile but is expecting her third child (i told her everytime i’ve seen her, she’s pregnant!) and she kept everything flowing smoothly…the flowers were beautiful as is always the case when they come from my favorite girls, bonnie and chris, from petal beach…this was also the first of two i was shooting with videographer, jennifer anderson, this weekend and we always have a great time together…evelyn had a special cake made for vinny in the shape of a tbone steak to honor his profession of a meat company owner and vinny surprised everyone by inviting everyone outside the beautiful, mcloone’s pier house, for a fireworks display courtesy of garden state fireworks…

the day after kelly & freddy’s fantastic wedding, bob and i headed up to east amwell to matthew’s parents horse farm, stonybrook…sara was photographing a wedding in bear mountain so i had the real treat of shooting with photographer, jen rutherford, whose work i have long admired…thank you jen for your good nature and spending the day with me…it was also two days in a row working with flowerful events who designed gorgeous organic flower arrangements arrangements and once again the always wonderful jennifer anderson on video…it had been awhile since i photographed a tent wedding and a gorgeous redhead like megan and i so enjoyed photographing all of the details, many handmade by megan like the paper flower place card pots & the quilt for the chuppah that they were married beneath, (ceremony performed by the groom’s mom, linda)…

saturday was the most GORGEOUS day we’ve had in quite some time and i enjoyed every moment of being outside and spending the day with kristen, rob and their fantastic family and friends…the flowers designed by nancy from in the garden were lovely and the seaside details at the reception were just perfect for a beach wedding at waters edge in sea bright…as always, sara and i had a ball with jennifer anderson on video and band of gold rocked the house till the end…it was great to see lindsey and her husband rob, whose wedding i photographed two years ago (i can’t believe it’s been that long already!) …such a great day!

…i was so honored to share in this lovely couple’s beautiful day…they are the warmest, funniest, most endearing people and a pleasure to be around…sara and i and the fabulous, jennifer anderson, from sands of time video, absolutely loved spending the day with them at the newly renovated and gorgeous clarks landing yacht club in pt. pleasant…thank you so much to don and nicole for all the tours, attention and the yummy meals…we can’t wait to work with you again…i was so happy to see all my favorite people from petal beach florist, bonnie, chris and carmen, because i knew that i was going to have amazing floral designs to photograph…tina had so many beautiful details and her green (i know this could have gone either way but it was so pretty) cake looked SO good…during the ceremony outside overlooking the bay, the couple celebrated their new family by presenting mayur’s son, evan, with a beautiful necklace and the butterflies they released at the end of the ceremony showed up just about everywhere including inside where i found one hanging from the chandelier over the couple as they danced their first dance (see below)…all in all, a wonderful day!

…think pink! and lots of it for erica…she just loves pink!…from her gorgeous pink peony bouquet designed by petal beach to her pink kate spade shoes to the pink bridesmaids gowns all the way to the walls bathed in pink lights at the ballroom at the ocean place resort…it was great working with mike simons video, we always have such a great time… and it was nice to finally meet and work with for the first time with wedding coordinators, angela (who helped me save a baby bird snatched from it’s nest by a big, black crow!) and alita from juliet events who oversaw all the details of the day including the yummy cupcakes that were handed out as the guests left the reception…a final sweet reminder of a fantastic day!
