clair & nick shared their first kiss outside the nurse’s office office at manasquan high school …she was a junior and he was a senior…so it was only fitting that their engagement session take place at the scene of the crime…so we went back to high school! it was definitely more fun this time around…first of all the LOVE is so obvious and seriously, my job was so easy…you really can’t take a bad picture of them…a special thank you to the principal’s secretary, ginny, who not only posted a sign with their names and wedding date outside the school, but came in on a saturday so these two could have their photographs in the most meaningful place they could be…and a special thank you to the groom, sargeant 1st class 5th special forces group airborne division for his service to our country…after our session, nick was on his way back to ft. campbell, kentucky…thank you for all you do…and to debbie, clair’s mom, who has been at both of her daughter’s sessions to keep me on my toes!…i can’t wait for their wedding at clark’s landing with petal beach & clair will follow her sister, lindsay whose wedding i will also be photographing in june…

to say that there is no other group of people i would rather spend my last wedding of the season with is an understatement…having photographed the bride’s sister, tara, three years ago for her wedding as well as bridesmaid, michelle’s wedding this past may, it is like spending the day with your family…and, seeing these couples and their families is always such a treat for us…meghan looked amazing in her christos gown and boxwood gardens did a lovely job with the holiday themed florals…after their ceremony at church of the nativity in fair haven, we quickly headed over to riverside gardens in red bank and braved the cold and beat the sinking light to get some great photos of this couple before heading over to eagle oaks country club in farmingdale…it was great working with jen anderson on video and meghan’s band, the dream team out of new york, were incredible! thank you so much to the ullmans, cusicks, langleys, takacs, zusacks and now the kopps for reminding us why we do what we do and how lucky we are to be doing this…

congratulations to gabby (again!) for her centerpieces feature in brides nj and to nicole and gerard for the their featured wedding in contemporary bride!

this couple will definitely go down as two of my most memorable people and favorites as well…since the first meeting with them, they both made me laugh SO much…vinny kept putting the whammy on me making “rain” comments before his wedding day as we were due for a storm, but it wasn’t to be…they had a really HOT day but it didn’t rain at all…sara was shooting a friend’s wedding so i had the pleasure of shooting with larry evans, who kept everyone laughing all day…evelyn’s wedding planner was nicole from anna soiree who i haven’t seen in awhile but is expecting her third child (i told her everytime i’ve seen her, she’s pregnant!) and she kept everything flowing smoothly…the flowers were beautiful as is always the case when they come from my favorite girls, bonnie and chris, from petal beach…this was also the first of two i was shooting with videographer, jennifer anderson, this weekend and we always have a great time together…evelyn had a special cake made for vinny in the shape of a tbone steak to honor his profession of a meat company owner and vinny surprised everyone by inviting everyone outside the beautiful, mcloone’s pier house, for a fireworks display courtesy of garden state fireworks…

…i was so honored to share in this lovely couple’s beautiful day…they are the warmest, funniest, most endearing people and a pleasure to be around…sara and i and the fabulous, jennifer anderson, from sands of time video, absolutely loved spending the day with them at the newly renovated and gorgeous clarks landing yacht club in pt. pleasant…thank you so much to don and nicole for all the tours, attention and the yummy meals…we can’t wait to work with you again…i was so happy to see all my favorite people from petal beach florist, bonnie, chris and carmen, because i knew that i was going to have amazing floral designs to photograph…tina had so many beautiful details and her green (i know this could have gone either way but it was so pretty) cake looked SO good…during the ceremony outside overlooking the bay, the couple celebrated their new family by presenting mayur’s son, evan, with a beautiful necklace and the butterflies they released at the end of the ceremony showed up just about everywhere including inside where i found one hanging from the chandelier over the couple as they danced their first dance (see below)…all in all, a wonderful day!
