so every year now for the last few years, i’ve had the unbelievably good fortune to be able to photograph two little ones from fair haven for their holiday pictures…i photographed mark and kathy’s wedding what seems like a lifetime ago and being able to photograph their children has been one of the great priviledges and joy of my career…mark junior is one of those children that i bonded with pretty much from day one–there is just something extra special about this child and i LOVE seeing him and talking with him–and after his brother, bobby came along a couple of years ago, it’s been double the fun…thank you boys so much for the hugs and kisses and SO MUCH fun in the leaves!

…i’ve been looking forward to photographing maria’s wedding even before she got engaged…her mom, denise, has done hair magic on me for years at the beautiful, salon L in allenhurst and that’s just about how long she had been looking forward to this day…maria was not your typical bride, just check those awesome shoes out and you will see what i mean…any location we went to, she worked the camera…it made my job so easy…after the ceremony at our lady of carmel church in asbury park, we headed down to roosevelt avenue in deal…maria loved the way the trees arched towards each other as did i and it was the first time i’ve had a bride request her formals be taken in the middle of a street…i’m so glad she did because i was able to capture some really lovely images there…we then headed to the brickwall on cookman avenue where maria and dan met and where everyone toasted the couple…the reception room at the berkeley oceanfront looked amazing! bonnie and chris from petal beach floral designs outdid themselves…i don’t think i’ve ever seen the room look prettier…elite entertainment kept everyone on the dance floor except for the time when the bride took over the dj spot herself…thank you so much vacchiano and joyce families for letting me share in your fantastic day!

there are so many words that i could use to describe my bride from this past weekend: love, light, joyful would all be among them, but really, truly HAPPY works best…she was just as happy at the beginning of her day as she was at the end as was everyone who participated from their great families to their amazing bridal party, everyone did it right and brought us along for the ride…there was really no way not feel that way, their happiness was really infectious and spread to sara and me…we had such a great day with them and with jay thomson from elite djs…thank you so much to marco at bridgewater manor who made our evening as great as the rest of the day was…and yes, that is a pizza box at church–the groomsmen had it delivered…

…there is no better place to spend halloween weekend then in asbury park…the gorgeous weather brought out all the zombies to convention hall and april and jerome continued the mischief by having elvis himself perform as a surprise to all at their reception at the berkeley oceanfront…nick from imagine entertainment kept the party jumping and the couple’s dog, gus, did his part as official ringbearer for the ceremony…take a look…

Beautiful
last weekend began with shana & sean at the wonderful clark’s landing in point pleasant…it was a bit chilly for the outdoor ceremony on the water they had planned so everything was moved inside… but everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful views from the floor to ceiling picture windows in the room and be warm… just as they were pronounced man and wife, the sunset behind them as if on cue…a huge shout out to the wonderful staff at clark’s landing who always takes such awesome care of us when we are there and to videogirl, jen anderson, and nick from imagine entertainment who will also be mentioned again in my next post as we worked together again the very next day…
